Remote Opportunity
The Technical Sales Manager will report directly to the Regional Sales Leader (RSL) or the Director of Sales within their designated area. This role is integral to a larger team focused on enhancing customer loyalty through strategic account management. The primary responsibility involves engaging with key installation companies in the region, collaborating closely with Territory Sales Managers to deliver value and optimize installation practices for our existing client base. Additionally, this position works in tandem with the Business Development Manager and leadership to eliminate installation challenges that may impede sales growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain relationships with influential installation companies in targeted regions to safeguard our business interests.
- Identify and pursue growth opportunities within the region, collaborating with internal teams to drive business development.
- Facilitate customer transitions to James Hardie by addressing barriers and ensuring a seamless experience.
- Leverage CRM tools to inform strategic decisions that promote year-over-year growth.
- Support Territory Sales Representatives and the Business Development Manager in achieving sales targets.
- Conduct market segmentation analysis to lead the customer sales process, utilizing additional resources for solution development as needed.
- Foster relationships, expand networks, and identify potential leads with enthusiasm.
- Serve as the technical expert on installation practices for our product range.
- Manage a priority-driven schedule with prospective clients.
- Demonstrate flexibility in attending key events within the assigned territory.
- Engage extensively with the account base to build a strong network.
- Influence key stakeholders to advocate for James Hardie.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of our products, installation methods, customer programs, and associated benefits.
- Analyze and interpret data to guide market-driven decision-making.
- Capable of leading presentations to large audiences.
- Exhibit a passion for personal and company success to meet or exceed objectives.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is highly desirable.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a sales-focused environment.
- Strong organizational skills, discipline, and self-management.
- Ability to convey construction knowledge effectively at job sites.
- Robust understanding of the sales process and a strong sales mindset.
- Proven ability to build relationships across all organizational levels.
- Capacity to influence stakeholders to support James Hardie initiatives.
- Willingness to travel 10-15% of the time.
- A valid driver's license is required.
- A Bachelor's degree is preferred from an accredited institution.
