Job Summary

LHH is seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in a Direct Hire, Permanent Placement position. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of manufacturing equipment and product lines, lead projects to improve results, implement Lean initiatives, and more.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Manufacturing Processes
    • Design, modify, and test manufacturing methods and equipment to ensure desired results
    • Collaborate with production associates to apply industry knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, and tooling, and materials
  • Identify and Resolve Process Operating Problems
    • Investigate equipment failures, draft follow-up action reports, and share technical assistance with workers on the floor
    • Conduct root cause analysis of quality issues during manufacturing process
  • Coordinate with Operations and Management Personnel
    • Develop a shared vision for the completion of daily tasks and report on those activities
  • Collaborate with Maintenance, Production, and Engineering Staff
    • Improve equipment care, services, repairs, and work practice
  • Monitor and Improve Manufacturing Efficiency
    • Analyze and plan workflow while optimizing space and equipment layout
  • Identify New and Creative Solutions
    • Resolve complex issues during the manufacturing process
Requirements
  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering
  • Minimum of Two Years of Manufacturing Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Experience
  • Experience working on the production floor with various types of manufacturing equipment
  • Ability to read blueprints and wiring diagrams/schematics
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical, trouble-shooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Highly motivated, self-starter who can succeed with little supervision
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to effectively work as part of a cross-functional team
