Job Summary

Be Strong International is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Community Outreach Coordinator to join our team. As a Community Outreach Coordinator, you will play a critical role in maintaining a visible presence in our micro-target area, engaging with residents, and connecting them with necessary resources and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct door-to-door outreach to engage program participants and provide care coordination
  • Assist in the coordination of monthly community block meetings and large-scale community events
  • Complete intake assessments, make timely referrals to service providers, and maintain a daily journal of activities
  • Engage in community engagement events and promote teamwork and safety

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Social Work, or a related field
  • 5 years of experience working with neighborhood organizations and residents
  • Knowledge of community and social issues
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in community relations
  • Bilingual (Spanish or Creole is a plus)
  • Proficiency in computer skills and programs such as Microsoft Office

  • Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with others
