Ethos Veterinary Health LLC is seeking a dedicated full-time Veterinary Technician Specialist to enhance our Anesthesia department. As a Veterinary Technician Specialist (VTS), you will operate at the pinnacle of your certification within your specialty. This role requires clinical excellence, independence, and leadership. You will collaborate closely with a board-certified anesthesiologist to manage ASA I-V(E) cases, including critically ill patients. Your responsibilities will encompass a variety of anesthetic techniques, developing anesthesia protocols, and addressing any adverse events that may arise.
Qualifications:
  • At least three years of clinical experience as a CVT/RVT/LVT
  • Credentialed as a VTS in Anesthesia & Analgesia by AVTAA (or willingness to pursue)
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication, analytical, interpersonal, and active listening skills
  • Ability to think critically, perform well under pressure, and manage challenges independently
  • Strong communication skills to facilitate effective clinical training, client interaction, and team collaboration
  • Proven leadership abilities
  • Interest in mentoring and training fellow technicians
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic team environment that fosters a positive culture
Compensation:
$35-42/hr, commensurate with experience and skill level.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop anesthetic protocols in partnership with the anesthesiologist
  • Administer basic to advanced anesthesia and sedation, including intravenous anesthetics and local/regional analgesic techniques
  • Facilitate and perform basic and advanced CPR techniques
  • Work effectively with and without direct supervision
  • Oversee equipment maintenance, calibration, and repair
  • Advocate for exceptional patient care
  • Ensure safety for both patients and personnel
  • Encourage a culture of learning and transparency
  • Exhibit leadership that promotes continuous development within the technician/nursing care team
  • Assist in training staff in various anesthetic skills
  • Cross-train to support other areas of the hospital as necessary
  • Fulfill on-call duties as assigned
  • Perform additional duties as required
