We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Veterinary Technician to join our Surgery Department at Ethos Veterinary Health. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support to our veterinarians during surgical procedures.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist veterinarians during surgical procedures, including abdominal explores, cruciate repairs, fracture repairs, thoracotomies, and laparoscopic and arthroscopic surgeries.
- Perform venipuncture, IV catheter placement, medication calculations and administration, digital radiography, patient prep and recovery, and anesthesia monitoring.
- Provide outstanding client communication and education, and advocate for the patient's needs.
- Work collaboratively with the surgical team to ensure seamless patient care and efficient surgical procedures.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest surgical techniques and technologies, and participate in ongoing education and training.
- CVT or experienced nurse with a minimum of 3 years in emergency or specialty setting with advanced anesthesia experience (ASA 3-5).
- Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Comprehensive understanding and experience with anesthetic monitoring, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to maintain a positive outlook and work well in stressful situations.
- Competitive hourly wage ($23-32).
