Job Title: Practice Assistant II

Brigham and Women's Hospital (BWH) is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Practice Assistant II to join our team. As a key member of our Ambulatory Rehabilitation Services department, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and administrative support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional patient care and support, including greeting and welcoming patients, checking them in and out, and collecting co-payments.
  • Manage patient flow and triage walk-in patients, ensuring timely and efficient care.
  • Operate multi-line telephone consoles, screen calls, and provide information to callers.
  • Prepare and distribute patient-reported outcome measures and maintain accurate records.
  • Identify and resolve issues related to insurance and registration, and direct patients accordingly.
  • Assist in training new staff members and provide support to the managed care coordinator.
  • Perform other administrative and clerical duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; some level of higher education preferred.
  • Bilingual Spanish/English preferred.
  • Three or more years of customer service experience or experience in a hospital setting preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
