Financial Management Associate Opportunity

KPMG is seeking a highly skilled Financial Management Associate to join our Federal Advisory practice. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in supporting the development of financial management functions for federal entities.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough reviews and evaluations of financial risk, financial reporting, and accounting transactions processes for federal entities.
  • Support the creation of tools and execute process mapping, visualization, and data analysis activities to optimize financial management functions.
  • Assist in documenting the current and future state of financial management functions, as well as support change management efforts for transformation and training document creation.
  • Understand and document key stakeholders, financial organization design and operations, process workflows, and roles & responsibilities for federal entities.
  • Review findings, perform root-cause analysis, develop corrective actions, create roadmaps, identify dependencies, and risks for financial management functions.
  • Organize and review financial requests, prepare responses and documentation, and communicate with various stakeholders.
  • Research and interpret federal standards, policies, and regulations to ensure compliance.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of one year of experience in federal financial management.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university; CPA / CGFM / CDFM certification preferred.
  • Experience in the preparation, review, and/or analysis of financial statements for U.S. federal government entities; working knowledge of the USSGL preferred.
  • Experience analyzing financial and systems processes and controls.
  • Ability to travel as required to support firm engagements.
  • Must possess a U.S. Government Top Secret clearance.
