KPMG is seeking a Senior Associate to join our Federal Advisory practice.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze financial data and system outputs to determine their effect on business processes, controls, and accounting treatment
  • Perform SQL operations to validate data quality and completeness to support delivery of audit work products
  • Perform analytics of transactions and balances related to financial statements and trail balances
  • Generate reports, perform reconciliations, and review financial datasets and outcomes to identify and resolve variances in collaboration with stakeholders
  • Identify and develop solutions for financial data and system issues related to posting logic, USSGL compliance, data management, and processes
  • Support the development and execution of management and client's strategy to optimize and automate the use of financial data for reporting and operations

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of three years of federal financial management and analytics experience
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university; CPA/CGFM/CDFM certifications preferred
  • Experience in the preparation, review, and analysis of financial statements for U.S. Federal government entities; working knowledge of the USSGL preferred
  • Experience analyzing financial and systems processes and controls
  • Experience with data querying, analytics, and visualization tools (e.g. SQL, Tableau, PowerBI, Alteryx, Python, etc.) preferred
  • Ability to travel as required to support firm engagements
  • Must possess a U.S. Government Secret clearance
