Limited Term Lecturer, Behavioral Sciences/Couple

The Department of Behavioral Sciences at Purdue University Northwest is seeking a Limited Term Lecturer in Couple and Family Therapy to teach in our COAMFTE Accredited Masters program. This is a temporary, non-benefits eligible, part-time position hired each semester on an as-needed basis.

About the CollegeThe College of Humanities, Education, and Social Sciences serves over 1,500 undergraduate students and 250 graduate students across a wide range of programs. Our departments and schools include Behavioral Sciences, Communication and Creative Arts, English and World Languages, History, Philosophy, Politics and Economics, Psychology, and School of Education & Counseling.
Responsibilities- Teach on-campus courses from an effective, diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging framework
- Participate in course preparation and instruction, including didactic courses or experiential/practicum-supervision courses
- Attend meetings as needed and required, or desired
- Participate and respond to program requests for information, feedback, or data
- Understand and adhere to university policy and regulations
- Minimum of a Master's degree from a COAMFTE Accredited Couple/Marriage & Family Therapy program
- Licensed as a Marriage & Family Therapist, eligible for licensure in the States of Indiana and Illinois
- Preference for Approved Supervisor or Supervisor-in-Training Status from AAMFT if interested or asked to supervise a practicum section
- Experience or interest in teaching at the Graduate Level
