We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at Northwest Indiana Community Action. As a key member of our WIC program, you will play a vital role in promoting healthy lifestyles and providing exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with outreach and recruitment of program participants, promoting the WIC program and its benefits.
- Collaborate with the WIC Clinical Assistant to ensure seamless client services, including data management and appointment scheduling.
- Conduct health measurements and assess nutrition risk for all participants, providing personalized nutrition counseling and referral services.
- Facilitate breastfeeding classes and promote breastfeeding initiation and duration among WIC participants.
- Qualified Registered Nurse with a Bachelor's Degree in Family and Consumer Sciences (Home Economics) with an emphasis in Nutrition.
- Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
- Self-motivated, able to work independently, and possess a strong service orientation.
- Commitment to collaborative work with staff, volunteers, program participants, and other WIC supporters.
