Social Worker 5-B Supervisor

Job Summary:
This supervisory position provides clinical behavioral health assessments, clinical interventions, therapy, and supportive services to the Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) Program.
The Home and Community Based Services program provides services to tenants to stabilize housing within the Florida Parishes Human Services Authority (FPHSA) service area.
This area includes 5 parishes: Livingston, St. Helena, St. Tammany, Tangipahoa, and Washington.
The position manages a specialized caseload providing therapeutic assessment and treatment and supervising non-licensed staff providing direct services for those with a substantial, long-term disability, expected to be of long-continued or indefinite durations, which substantially impedes their ability to live independently without supports, and is of such nature that such ability could be improved by more suitable housing conditions.
Due to programmatic responsibilities, the incumbent of this position must be a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
The incumbent of this position must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and electronic health records, as well as have an understanding of disabilities, knowledge of the LDH program offices serving each disability area, the various funding streams for service delivery, and the requirements of each.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct-line supervision of subordinate social workers and/or other professional social services counselors for a service delivery program within a facility or region.
- Manage a specialized caseload providing therapeutic assessment and treatment and supervising non-licensed staff providing direct services for those with a substantial, long-term disability.
- Be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and electronic health records.
- Have an understanding of disabilities, knowledge of the LDH program offices serving each disability area, the various funding streams for service delivery, and the requirements of each.
Requirements:
- A master's degree in social work from an accredited school of social work followed by four years of professional level social services experience.
- Licensure as a Licensed Master's Social Worker (LMSW) or Licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) by the Louisiana State Board of Social Work Examiners.
