Airlift Operations Management Specialist

Position Overview:
The primary objective of this role is to act as the comprehensive database overseer, analyst, and administrator for the Host Operations Resource Management System office. This position is chiefly accountable for the analysis and overall supervision of personnel associated with the airlift squadron.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan, direct, and manage operational facets concerning:
- Aircrew resource management
- Aircrew training programs
- Aircrew incentive compensation
- Data systems and their interfaces
- Operational reporting and technical guidance.
• Oversee and ensure the efficient operation and maintenance of the operations resource management system.
• Direct the installation, testing, and assessment of newly acquired computer systems to ensure alignment with organizational objectives and policies.
• Authorize entitlements related to aviation career incentives, hazardous duty, and other flight-related compensations, while investigating and resolving any pay discrepancies.
Technical Guidance:
Provide expert technical assistance to inquiries from various agencies, ensuring that personnel within the flying unit are adequately trained and well-versed in all data systems and operational requirements.
Office Management:
• Develop and implement office procedures for managing diverse data systems.
• Assist in planning, administering, and monitoring unclassified correspondence while preparing necessary staff communications.
• Generate reports, retrievals, and custom computer programs tailored to unique user needs.
Qualifications:
To qualify for this position, candidates must meet the specialized experience requirements as outlined in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for Administrative and Management Positions.
Specialized Experience:
Applicants should possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 level in federal service, demonstrating knowledge and skills necessary for the successful execution of the position's duties.
Educational Background:
• Successful completion of two full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a degree, or a master's degree related to the position.
• A combination of education and experience may also be considered, provided the total percentage meets the required threshold.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Your qualifications will be evaluated based on your proficiency in the following areas:
1. Understanding of directives, policies, and procedures.
2. Proficiency in operating data systems and troubleshooting system issues.
3. Familiarity with aviation service eligibility directives.
4. Experience with personal computers and various software applications.
5. Knowledge of reserve flight pay and inspection programs.
6. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Additional Information:
