Job Overview

POSITION SUMMARY:

The role involves executing a range of financial tasks in alignment with organizational and regulatory standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develops and oversees the execution and upkeep of financial control measures.
  • Conducts financial and auditing tasks, generating data for regular operational reports and management insights in adherence to organizational and regulatory standards.
  • Evaluates account classifications and coding for Accounts Payable and Payroll.
  • Ensures timely entry of all Purchase Requisitions, including recurring ones, by staff in the designated financial system.
  • Handles invoice processing and guarantees timely disbursement.
  • Maintains precise and suitable documentation and analysis of income and expenditures.
  • Offers support to both internal and external audit processes.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

  • Thorough understanding of recognized accounting principles, policies, and procedures.
  • Familiarity with laws, governmental regulations, and reporting obligations.
  • Proficient in database management, Excel, Microsoft Office Suite, and email communication.
  • Ability to interpret financial data; extensive knowledge of accounting systems.

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND:

  • Post-secondary degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal education on a year-for-year basis.

EXPERIENCE:

  • A minimum of two years of experience in a related field.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Possession of a valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
