Position Overview: The Broadcast Operations Specialist plays a crucial role in maintaining the visual integrity of the television station by managing the airing of programs and scheduled breaks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversees and updates signal control systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Keeps accurate programming logs as mandated by management.
- Segments and uploads content to the server, making necessary edits and modifications.
- Generates traffic logs and integrates them into the data management system.
- Monitors the strength, clarity, and reliability of signals, making adjustments to equipment to ensure high-quality broadcasts.
- Selects the sources for incoming programming and manages transmission processes.
- Identifies and reports equipment issues, facilitating repairs and conducting emergency fixes when required.
- Ensures compliance with Emergency Alert System protocols.
- Performs additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- A technical degree in Digital Electronics, Broadcasting, or a related discipline, or a comparable combination of education and experience.
- Proficient in English.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Familiarity with computers, telecommunication devices, and office equipment.
- Solid experience with PC/MS Office applications.
- Experience with digital transmitters and broadcast-related technology.
- Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
