Role Summary: We are seeking a Lead Configuration Management Specialist to collaborate closely with a Department of Defense client, providing Configuration Management (CM) and Systems Engineering (SE) support for the development of software baselines within a large operational team throughout the entire lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize or recommend automated CM tools to enforce CM policies and procedures.
  • Develop or adjust CM plans, policies, and procedures tailored to the complexity and scope of the system.
  • Implement CM discipline across the entire lifecycle of systems, from initial requirements to system end-of-life.
  • Conduct change control and configuration audits.
  • Create and maintain configuration baselines for development, testing, and production environments.
  • Coordinate with various organizations to schedule and facilitate meetings such as Change Control Boards (CCBs), Engineering Review Boards (ERBs), Material Review Boards (MRBs), and Risk Review Groups (RRGs), ensuring stakeholder availability.
  • Facilitate meetings, ensuring audio-visual equipment is properly set up and that briefing materials are accessible.
  • Provide briefings to internal and external organizations on processes related to Configuration Management, Data Management, Requirements Management, and Systems Engineering.
  • Support corporate tools, including multiple Atlassian JIRA instances and Confluence spaces, as well as the administration of SharePoint libraries.
  • Document meeting minutes and capture relevant artifacts.

Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizenship: Must be a U.S. citizen and currently possess a TS/SCI security clearance with full-scope polygraph.
  • Education: A Bachelor's degree in a technical field is required, or 5 additional years of relevant work experience may substitute for a degree. A Master's degree may replace 2 years of experience.
  • Experience: A minimum of eight (8) years of experience in Configuration Management, Systems Engineering, or Test Engineering.
  • Skills: Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
