Position Summary


We are in search of a
Systems Engineer with a robust background in diverse operating systems and platforms to enhance our team operations.

These positions are full-time opportunities. We are currently expanding our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the onsite Tier 3 Field Service Representative (FSR).
  • Address issues, incidents, and maintenance tasks originating from the Service Desk, Jira, or other stakeholder directives.
  • Identify the location of tools (e.g., cloud, on-premises); validate the affected system and assess the impact level (review critical applications/services list); evaluate initial assessments against configurations/baselines; and fulfill requests.
  • Facilitate technical exchanges of information and activities already performed at the Tier 0-2 level, provide Tier 3 support, and collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams (CFTs) and vendors for resolution.
  • Coordinate with and escalate to CFT application and development teams all issues or "major incidents" that cannot be resolved at Tier 3 (e.g., deployments, system builds, application failures); Tier 3 will initiate proposed changes via the Change Management process within 48 hours if the issue does not affect operations.
  • Manage and deploy all releases not automatically handled by Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) to any environments disconnected from the Development Environments.
  • Construct, configure, and manage any on-premises environments that are not utilized for development but are part of the ecosystem.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree; 4 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Required Skills:

  • 6 years of relevant experience.
  • Hands-on experience with Windows Server operating systems and virtualization technologies such as VMware.
  • Proficient in Power CLI, PowerShell, and Linux scripting methods.
  • Hands-on experience with Linux-based operating systems, including RHEL and/or Oracle Linux.
  • Comprehensive system engineering experience throughout the full lifecycle (design, build, deployment, and operations & maintenance).
  • Experience in build and configuration management, including patch management.
  • Strong system troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Creative problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to stay focused, self-motivated, and communicate effectively.

Security Clearance:

  • Top Secret/SCI clearance required.
  • Must possess or be willing to obtain a Counterintelligence (CI) polygraph.

Preferred Experience:

  • Familiarity with standard TCP/IP concepts, including design and troubleshooting.
  • Understanding of networking concepts, including Cisco ASA Family, Cisco ISR Routing Platforms, and Catalyst Switching platforms.
