About the Role

The Cloud Transformation Project Manager at Trianz will oversee the successful execution of cloud transformation and migration projects. This role involves planning, coordinating, and managing projects to ensure they are completed on time, within budget, and to the desired quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Planning and Management: Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, objectives, timelines, and resources. Define project milestones, deliverables, and success criteria. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of cloud projects. Monitor and track project progress, adjusting plans as necessary to meet project goals.
  • Cloud Migration and Transformation: Create strategies for cloud exploitation, including business case development and cloud architecture design. Lead the migration of on-premise applications to the cloud, considering rebuilding using cloud-native technologies or purchasing from Cloud SaaS providers. Architect migration approaches, ensuring seamless transition and minimal disruption to business operations. Innovate delivery methods using agile and cloud tools to enhance project execution. Organize and prioritize applications to be migrated based on business criticality, complexity, and dependencies.
  • Project Management: Act as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders. Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders regularly. Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure alignment with project objectives. Have strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with application owners, subject matter experts, and cross-functional teams.
  • Resource Allocation and Risk Management: Allocate and manage resources efficiently to meet project needs. Collaborate with HR and other departments to secure necessary resources. Ensure team members are adequately trained and equipped to perform their roles. Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies. Monitor and manage risks throughout the project lifecycle. Implement contingency plans to address unexpected issues.
  • Quality Assurance and Financial Management: Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and customer expectations. Implement best practices and industry standards in project execution. Conduct regular reviews and audits to ensure compliance with quality requirements. Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring costs are within approved limits. Monitor expenditures and report on financial performance.
Requirements
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), cloud architecture, and cloud services.
  • Project Management Skills: Proficiency in project management tools (e.g. MS Project, Jira, Trello) and methodologies (e.g. Agile, Waterfall).
  • Certifications: PMP, PRINCE2, or other relevant project management certifications are preferred.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
  • Experience: 14+ years of IT infrastructure experience. Experience in managing large-scale cloud migration projects. Knowledge of IT infrastructure, networking, and security principles. Experience with Migration, Modernize, and DevOps practices and tools. Familiarity with compliance and regulatory requirements related to cloud computing. Minimum of 7 years of experience in project management, with a focus on cloud computing and migration projects.
