Core Duties Include:
  • Collaborating with a team to design and develop advanced cloud-based solutions tailored to meet specific business needs.
  • Overseeing the installation, testing, configuration, and maintenance of operating systems and applications to ensure optimal system performance.
  • Architecting and implementing comprehensive lifecycle functions for programs designed to operate in the cloud, which often involves process development, optimization, and risk management.
Qualifications

Essential:
  • At least 8 years of experience in cloud engineering.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Proficient in collaborating with internal and external teams to define requirements, design architectures, and oversee implementation processes.
  • Demonstrated technical leadership and expertise in contemporary cloud solutions and architectures.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Self-driven, detail-oriented, and a responsible team player.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
  • Local residency in the designated office areas is required.
Preferred:
  • Experience in Agile software development methodologies.
  • Familiarity with AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, and/or VMWare platforms.
  • Proficiency in tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and Kubernetes.
  • Experience in developing automation scripts using Bash/Python.
  • Knowledge of Java, Groovy, REST API development, and UNIX Shell Scripting.
  • Understanding of web development frameworks, database technologies, and web services.
  • Experience in implementing industry-standard cloud service offerings and best practices.
  • Previous mentoring experience with junior staff.
  • Adept at anticipating challenges and devising innovative solutions.
