About the Role:

HMA is a leading health plan administrator seeking a skilled IT Support Specialist to join our team. As an onsite IT Support Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing technical support to our users, both remotely and in our corporate office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support for our users, including troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software issues.
  • Help train users on how to use company-issued technology, systems, and applications.
  • Contribute to and share knowledge across the team and users by developing documentation to improve processes and enhance the user computing experience.
  • Manage corporate IT technology located at our corporate office.
  • Develop and maintain an inventory of all monitors, keyboards, hard drives, modems, network cards, and other components and equipment.
  • Leverage automation and scripting of system tasks to eliminate repetitive tasks and increase efficiency.
  • Collaborate with Systems Engineers to ensure efficient operation of the company's desktop computing environment.
  • Monitor emerging technology developments and identify opportunities and issues for improvement.
  • Share on-call support responsibility as necessary.

Requirements:

  • Associate degree in computer science or related field preferred.
  • 3-5+ years of relevant IT support experience.
  • Strong customer-service orientation.
  • Prior experience in supporting a remote workforce.
  • Excellent technical knowledge of PC and desktop hardware.
  • Excellent technical knowledge of PC internal components.
  • Prior experience with server and systems administration.
  • Hands-on hardware troubleshooting experience.
  • Proficient with a wide range of Microsoft products, including Windows Desktop, Windows Server, M365, SharePoint, Dynamics CRM, and Active Directory.
  • Proficient in scripting and automation.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated and directed, with the ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
