Position Overview

The Sherwin-Williams Retail Management Trainee Program is a fast-tracked, entry-level opportunity aimed at equipping current team members for a Store Management position within 18-24 months. Embracing Sherwin-Williams' philosophy of promoting from within, successful participants will advance to an Assistant Store Manager role following the completion of a comprehensive 6-8 week training period.

Program Details

This role typically requires a commitment of 44 hours per week, including potential evening and weekend shifts. Throughout the program, you will work closely with store management to oversee a significant business operation, gaining insights into leadership and strategic development.

  • Collaborate with the Store Manager on outside sales initiatives to expand market share.

Compensation and Benefits

Minimum Requirements
  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without requiring sponsorship.
  • Must possess a valid, unrestricted Driver's License.
  • Must have a High School diploma or GED.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 70 lbs. occasionally.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Willingness to relocate for future opportunities.
  • At least one (1) year of experience in retail, sales, or customer service.
  • Experience in a leadership role, supervising others or leading teams.
  • Prior experience selling paint and related products.
  • Familiarity with timekeeping and/or customer relationship management (CRM) systems.
  • An associate degree or higher in business, sales, or marketing.
  • Experience in a team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to communicate in more than one language, including Spanish.
