Job Summary

As a Front Desk Representative with StepStone Hospitality Inc., you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our guests. Your primary duties will include registering and assigning rooms to guests, issuing room keys and escort instructions, and sorting and tracking incoming mail and messages.

Key Responsibilities
  • Register and assign rooms to guests, ensuring a seamless check-in experience.
  • Issue room keys and escort instructions to Guest Service Agents or directly to guests, ensuring timely and efficient service.
  • Sort and track incoming mail and messages, maintaining a high level of organization and attention to detail.
  • Transmit and receive messages using all communication avenues, including phone, email, and in-person interactions.
  • Answer inquiries pertaining to hotel services, registration of guests, and shopping, dining, entertainment, and travel directions, providing accurate and helpful information.
  • Keep record of room availability and rate, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Compute bill, collect payment, and make change for guests, handling financial transactions with precision and professionalism.
  • Make, confirm, and cancel reservations via all communication avenues, ensuring seamless and efficient service.
  • Post charges such as room, food, liquor, or telephone to guest bill if interface is inoperable, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Make reservation, transportation, or entertainment reservations for guests, providing personalized and attentive service.
  • Deposit guest valuables in hotel safe deposit box, ensuring secure and confidential storage.
  • Ability to accurately use various office software, including computer systems and communication tools.
  • Have a full working knowledge and expertise of each shift, including night audit, ensuring a high level of proficiency and adaptability.
Requirements
  • Must have a comprehensive knowledge of the English language to effectively communicate with guests, associates, and vendors.
  • Ability to accurately report information, maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to assist with various office tasks as needed, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
  • Ability to scrupulously follow all StepStone and hotel policies and procedures, maintaining a high level of professionalism and integrity.
  • Attend required meetings, staying informed and engaged with company initiatives and goals.
  • Projects and assignments are completed thoroughly, professionally, and with care, demonstrating a high level of quality and attention to detail.
  • Adjusts to high-pressure conditions and is open to change, demonstrating a high level of adaptability and resilience.
  • Assumes responsibility for personal growth and development, demonstrating a commitment to ongoing learning and improvement.
  • Must have a comprehensive knowledge of all hotel departments and functions, ensuring a high level of understanding and expertise.
  • Must have good mathematical and computer skills, ensuring accurate and efficient financial transactions and data management.
  • High school education required, with relevant training and experience and additional education preferred.
  • CPR and first aid training preferred, demonstrating a commitment to guest safety and well-being.
  • Additional language ability preferred, enhancing communication and service delivery with guests and associates.
  • Flexible availability required, including 3rd shift, demonstrating a willingness to adapt to changing schedules and needs.
