Overview:

The Workforce Planning Partner serves as a Human Resource expert, leveraging knowledge in workforce enhancement, career progression, data analysis, and business insight to formulate, align, and implement talent/workforce strategies.

This position encompasses both Strategic Workforce Planning (long-term strategies to secure essential talent for Baystate Health) and Operational Workforce Planning (aligning staffing with immediate operational needs).

The Workforce Planning Partner is tasked with leading workforce training initiatives and collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders. Furthermore, they ensure that career advancement is a pivotal talent strategy and work closely with Talent Acquisition and Talent Management teams.

Key Responsibilities:
Strategic workforce planning: Facilitates strategic workforce planning consultations with operational leaders to devise strategies for bridging talent gaps.

Operational Workforce Planning:
Collaborates with operational leaders to assess staffing levels and may propose adjustments.

Workforce Development:
Designs, coordinates, and recruits for workforce training initiatives, engaging with both internal stakeholders and external training organizations.

Funding for Workforce Development:
Works collaboratively to secure funding for workforce development initiatives and may assist in grant writing.

Career Advancement:
Acts as a case manager for employees pursuing promotions and coordinates with Talent Management and Talent Acquisition.

Data Analysis:
Synthesizes and interprets essential HR, financial, and productivity metrics that support workforce planning.

Career Pathways:
Develops and maintains career pathways and collaborates with compensation teams on promotional strategies.

Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's Degree

Experience:

Minimum of three years in roles that provide transferable skills from human resources, healthcare operations, or workforce development.


Skills and Competencies:

Strong business acumen, group facilitation skills, proficiency in data analysis, intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other office applications, advanced expertise in Workday, and a solid understanding of financial statements.
