Overview:
The Workforce Planning Partner serves as a key Human Resource expert, leveraging extensive knowledge in workforce enhancement, career progression, data interpretation, and business strategy to formulate, align, and implement talent solutions. This role encompasses both Strategic Workforce Planning—focused on long-term strategies to secure essential talent for organizational goals—and Operational Workforce Planning, which aligns staffing with immediate operational needs. The Workforce Planning Partner is instrumental in orchestrating workforce training initiatives, overseeing their design, execution, and recruitment efforts, while engaging with both internal and external stakeholders. Furthermore, this role emphasizes career mobility as a critical talent strategy, collaborating closely with Talent Acquisition and Talent Management to facilitate employee advancement and manage cases involving layoffs or ADA accommodations. The partner also works in tandem with Compensation to oversee Career Ladders and address compensation-related aspects of workforce planning projects.
Key Responsibilities:
1) Strategic Workforce Planning: Conducts strategic workforce planning consultations with operational leaders to identify and bridge talent gaps. Aids in the upkeep and enhancement of the organizational workforce plan.
2) Operational Workforce Planning: Collaborates with operational leaders to assess staffing needs and may propose adjustments to schedules or position management.
3) Workforce Development: Designs, coordinates, and recruits for workforce training programs, engaging with both internal stakeholders and external training providers.
4) Workforce Development Funding: Actively seeks funding for workforce development initiatives, assisting with grant applications and managing funds, including limited invoicing tasks.
5) Career Mobility: Acts as a case manager for employees pursuing advancement, coordinating with Talent Management and Talent Acquisition to promote career mobility. Works with recruiters to identify current vacancies and may suggest internal candidates for open positions, occasionally fulfilling recruitment duties for specific workforce programs.
6) Data Analytics: Analyzes and interprets essential HR, financial, and productivity metrics to support workforce planning efforts. Collaborates with data analysts and HRMS team members to obtain and prepare data for promotional career ladder initiatives.
7) Career Ladders: Expertly develops and maintains career ladders, ensuring market-competitive grading in partnership with Compensation, and collaborates on promotional programs such as clinical nurse recognition.
Education Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree required.
Experience Requirements:
Minimum of three years in roles that provide transferable skills, potentially from human resources, talent disciplines, healthcare operations, or workforce development.
Skills and Competencies:
Strong business acumen, group facilitation skills, data literacy, intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other office applications, advanced knowledge of Workday, and the ability to interpret financial statements.
