The Opportunity

As a Financial Planning Regional Consultant, your primary responsibility will be to cultivate, enhance, and solidify connections with both new and established Financial Advisors, Financial Planners, Financial Planning Directors, and their Support Staff.

The Impact

Collaborating closely with the Regional Director in the assigned territory (Central West), you will articulate MassMutual's financial planning methodology and our strategic vision to foster growth and success through comprehensive financial advice. Your role will assist Financial Advisors in generating an additional revenue stream and ensuring their clients meet their financial objectives through suitable product implementation.

Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Engaging in proactive daily outreach within your designated region to develop, sustain, and deepen relationships with new and existing Financial Advisors, Financial Planners, Financial Planning Directors, and Support Staff.
  • Collaborating directly with Advisors in your region to integrate financial planning into their practices.
  • Enhancing product implementation rates and productivity through structured planning and sales frameworks, coordinating with other product lines and partners.
  • Expanding financial planning initiatives in the designated region through client acquisition strategies and coaching advisors on key marketing activities.
  • Facilitating and conducting virtual training sessions, role plays, and coaching programs.
  • Establishing long-term, fee-based financial planning practices centered on client experience.
The Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Series 6 or 7 required at the time of application.
  • Series 63, 65, or 66 at the time of application or must be obtained within the first year.
  • 3+ years of experience in the Financial Services industry/Financial Planning/Internal Wholesaler or Financial Advisor.
  • 3+ years of experience in influencing advisors through both long-term relationship building and short-term analytical work.
  • 3+ years of experience in data gathering, case analysis, and strategy implementation, as well as ongoing planning through a service model.
  • 3+ years of experience with some form of fee-based management.
  • Required Travel: 0 - 15% within the designated territory.
The Ideal Qualifications
  • Advanced Degree.
  • Industry designations (i.e., CFP, CLU, CHFC) or currently in progress.
