Job Summary

Community Care College is in search of a Business Programs Educator to deliver instruction for the Associate of Occupational Science business curriculum. This part-time role necessitates both on-campus presence and online teaching of associate-level general business courses. Topics to be covered include Human Resources, Marketing, Accounting Principles, Business Mathematics, Business Law, Business Communication, Leadership Development, and more. Candidates must possess a minimum of three years of experience in a business-related setting or relevant subject matter. A Bachelor's Degree with at least 18 credit hours in Marketing, Accounting, or Human Resources is mandatory. Strong technical proficiency is essential, and experience in Distance Education is preferred. Familiarity with Canvas is advantageous. The ideal candidate should demonstrate a genuine passion for teaching in Higher Education and a commitment to student success.

Flexible Work Schedule
Part-time hours are flexible, allowing for a combination of on-campus and remote work, primarily during evening hours. Instructors are expected to provide their own hardware (PC or Mac), software, and internet connection when teaching remotely. Licensed by OBPVS.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver engaging online classes in the evenings using Zoom, incorporating lectures and discussions.
  • Provide professional counseling to students, offering constructive, supportive, and timely feedback.
  • Evaluate student progress through grading assignments, exams, and other coursework.
  • Offer individual tutoring or remedial instruction to students in need.
  • Exemplify the CARES philosophy (Courtesy, Accountability, Respect, Excellence, and Success).
  • Support the college through participation in extracurricular activities, including open houses, graduation ceremonies, and fundraising events.
  • Attend required meetings to maintain connections with faculty and staff.
  • Commit to ongoing improvement as an online educator by participating in training and professional development opportunities.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

Required:

  • Strong technical skills and proficiency in online technologies.
Preferred:
  • Prior teaching experience.
  • Experience in Distance Education.
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace.
  • Familiarity with Canvas LMS is a plus.
