Position Overview
The CMAA is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Social Services Manager who will report directly to the Executive Director. This role is crucial in overseeing the daily operations of the social services department, ensuring that the team effectively assists immigrants and low-income families in accessing vital resources.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and support departmental staff, providing regular feedback and performance evaluations.
- Establish and implement annual goals and objectives for the department.
- Develop strategic initiatives and design impactful programs.
- Ensure compliance with service contract requirements and manage the submission of accurate program and financial reports.
- Conduct ongoing needs assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of programs and ensure alignment with community needs.
- Make informed personnel recommendations regarding staffing and team development.
- Compile and analyze monthly metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPI) reports.
- Participate in agency-wide meetings to discuss program implementation and updates.
- Review and maintain the program budget proactively.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required; a Master's degree is preferred but not mandatory.
- Minimum of two years of experience in program administration and social services development.
- Bilingual skills in Chinese and English are preferred.
- Experience working with immigrant and refugee communities, as well as familiarity with Asian cultures, is advantageous.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and Salesforce.
- Strong communication, organizational, and writing skills are essential.
Work Environment
- This position is primarily office-based, utilizing standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers.
- Reliable transportation or access to public transportation is necessary for occasional travel.
Physical Requirements
This role is predominantly sedentary, with some filing responsibilities that may require lifting files and accessing filing cabinets.
