About the Role

We are seeking highly motivated and compassionate professionals to join our team as Intervention Specialists at Metropolitan Family Services. As a key member of our Adult Protective Services team, you will play a vital role in empowering families to reach their full potential and positively impact their communities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive client assessments, working with complex cases to identify and address individual needs.
  • Develop and implement written service plans, specifying goals and services to be pursued, in collaboration with clients and community resources.
  • Provide advocacy, case management, and supportive counseling to individuals, families, and groups, helping them navigate environment and interpersonal relationship issues.
  • Utilize knowledge of community resources to connect clients with essential services, working collaboratively with other agencies and organizations.
  • Meet contract, grant, and program requirements, including timely reporting and data analysis.
  • Monitor client situations and service plans, reassessing and adjusting as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Collaborate with program staff to plan and implement service plans, ensuring a cohesive and effective approach.
  • Authorize limited financial assistance to clients, with supervisory approval.
  • Identify and report systems issues to the Program Director, contributing to the development of solutions and best practices.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities, enhancing skills and knowledge to address the complexities of Adult Protective Services.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor, contributing to the overall success of the program.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or a related field from an accredited college or university.
  • One year of case management experience in a social service or healthcare setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide high-quality service to clients and manage job responsibilities efficiently.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse individuals and groups, including those with varying needs and backgrounds.
  • Ability to work evening and weekend hours as needed, with flexibility to adapt to changing program demands.
