Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Manager to join our team at FirstService Residential. Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Property Manager in the management of property operations, including staff supervision, resident relations, and vendor management.
  • Oversee the delivery of exceptional customer service to residents, responding to their needs and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Monitor and report on property performance metrics, including resident satisfaction, rent collection, and maintenance requests.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure timely and effective resolution of maintenance requests and repairs.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve resident satisfaction and retention.
  • Conduct regular property inspections to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Provide training and support to front desk staff to ensure excellent customer service and effective communication with residents.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of property budgets and financial plans.
  • Monitor and report on property expenses, including utilities, maintenance, and repairs.
  • Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure accurate and timely processing of property financial transactions.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and contractors to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of services.
  • Assist with the recruitment and training of new staff members.
  • Participate in on-call rotation to ensure 24/7 coverage and respond to resident emergencies and concerns.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in property management or a related field.
  • Proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service and resident satisfaction.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and train staff.
  • Ability to analyze data and develop strategies to improve property performance.
  • Knowledge of property management software and systems.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred.
