Senior Grant Development Specialist

As a key member of the University of Texas at Austin team, the successful candidate will be responsible for developing and writing high-quality grant proposals to secure funding for research projects. This will involve identifying and analyzing funding opportunities, collaborating with research teams to understand project goals and methodologies, and leading the development and submission of grant proposals.
Research and Analysis:
The ideal candidate will have strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to evaluate the feasibility and potential impact of proposed projects. They will work closely with principal investigators and researchers to gather necessary proposal information and provide regular updates and feedback to project teams and management.
Grant Management and Compliance:
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing multiple grant proposal projects simultaneously, ensuring timely submission of all required documents and maintaining accurate records of all grant activities. They will also ensure compliance with all funding agency guidelines and requirements.
Technical Writing and Documentation:
The candidate will have excellent technical writing and documentation skills, with the ability to translate complex technical and scientific information into clear, compelling narratives. They will prepare detailed budgets, timelines, and work plans for grant applications and conduct research to support grant proposals, including literature reviews and data analysis.
Project Management and Collaboration:
The successful candidate will be a skilled project manager, with the ability to organize and lead technical meetings with stakeholders and prepare and deliver technical presentations at scientific meetings and invited presentations. They will also supervise graduate students and post-doctoral researchers as needed and maintain a robust scientific publication effort. Additionally, they will develop and facilitate a broad range of internal and external stakeholder relationships to build partnerships and lead the commercial adoption of AEC-developed technologies.
