Job Title: Grant Specialist V - County Grants Fiscal Administrator

Join the Texas Juvenile Justice Department as a Grant Specialist V - County Grants Fiscal Administrator and contribute to the development, coordination, and administration of grants for juvenile justice programs.

Job Summary:

This role involves working with juvenile probation departments to prepare, maintain, and report on grants; coordinating the submission and review of grant budgets, disbursements, and expenditure reports; monitoring grant expenditures to ensure compliance with requirements and standards; and providing technical assistance and support to grant recipients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and analyze grant applications and budgets to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Coordinate the submission and review of grant reports, including disbursements and expenditure reports.
  • Monitor grant expenditures to ensure compliance with requirements and standards.
  • Provide technical assistance and support to grant recipients.
  • Collaborate with juvenile probation departments and other stakeholders to ensure effective grant management.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in public administration, business, or a related field.
  • Four years of full-time experience in grant administration, development, coordination, and monitoring.
  • Certification as a Certified Texas Contract Manager (CTCM) or ability to obtain certification within 6 months of hire.
