Role Overview

This role involves handling telephone calls, delivering personalized service to healthcare providers, addressing inquiries with expert knowledge of healthcare services and programs, collaborating with internal departments to establish best practices for managing and responding to healthcare provider communication, and managing complex and urgent situations effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service to healthcare providers via telephone calls.
  • Address inquiries and concerns with expert knowledge of healthcare services and programs.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to establish best practices for managing and responding to healthcare provider communication.
  • Manage complex and urgent situations effectively.
  • Support staff training and serve as a resource for colleagues as needed.

Requirements

  • Two to three years of customer service experience.
  • Proficient computer and keyboarding skills.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities.
  • Pleasant telephone demeanor and helpful approach.
  • Capable of working independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving and follow-up skills.
  • Ability to proactively enhance processes and tools to better support healthcare providers and clients.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and general computer software.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in telephone-based customer service.
  • Sound knowledge of medical and hospital terminology.
  • Background in fast-paced healthcare settings with clinician interaction.
  • Familiarity with specialty software like Infinity, E-Centaurus, Cerner, and AMiON.
