Accounting Operations Specialist

Avance Care is seeking a highly technical and detail-oriented Accounting Operations Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for the preparation of financial statements across all subsidiaries, routine maintenance of general ledgers, sub-ledgers, and trial balances, and the implementation of new accounting standards and complex accounting topics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the research, documentation, and implementation of new accounting standards and complex accounting topics
  • Evaluate the accounting and financial reporting implications of significant transactions
  • Develop and implement SOX policies and procedures in compliance with relevant healthcare regulations, accounting standards, and internal controls
  • Monitor revenue streams, including patient services, insurance reimbursements, government programs, and other revenue sources
  • Assist with the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and CPA/CMA and/or Master's degree are strongly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office with Advanced Excel skills
  • Results-oriented and thrives in a deadline-driven environment
  • Strong analytical skills and financial analysis skills
  • Experience in NetSuite, Oracle solutions, and PowerBI preferred
