Data Center Operations Specialist

At IQVIA, we are seeking a highly skilled Data Center Operations Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Data Center Operations team, you will be responsible for providing complex Data Center support to meet uptime goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical subject matter expertise and hands-on participation to maintain, troubleshoot, and manage Data Center Systems.
  • Manage the installation, maintenance, and upgrades of internal and external computer hardware systems used for designing, developing, and deploying company products.
  • Assist with designs of automation scripts and best practice processes to minimize human intervention required for Data Center Environments.
  • Propose and guide implementation of systems and enhancements that will improve the reliability and performance of the Data Center Environment.
  • Monitor usage and performance and utilize all standard tool sets for management of all aspects of the Data Center environment.
  • Respond to production issues escalated by client and support teams – requires a deep understanding of the Data Center functionality, architecture, and design, as well as production hardware infrastructure design.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree with 5 years of related experience or Master's Degree with 3 years of related experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of large-scale enterprise Data Center Operation platforms.
  • Comfortable working within on-prem, distributed, and hybrid Data Center environments.
  • Ability to combine metrics, events, and traces into a holistic IT Operation system.
  • Good knowledge of Data Center Facilities, server, network, virtualization, cloud, and container technologies.
