As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you will operate under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or physician to deliver fundamental bedside care within established guidelines for patients across all age groups.

Your core responsibilities will encompass monitoring patients, reporting any abnormal findings or changes in their condition, gathering data for patient evaluations, administering medications, and conducting routine laboratory tests.

Key Responsibilities:
Collect and document both objective and subjective data regarding patients.

Contribute observations and health information to the nursing assessment and communicate all findings to the RN or authorized healthcare provider.

Execute the current nursing care plan as directed by the RN, or administer medications or treatments as authorized by the directing healthcare provider.

Document and verbally relay the patient's response to the nursing care plan or treatments, including monitoring for adverse reactions to medications and performing routine lab tests.

Participate in the revision of the nursing care plan.
Provide education and information to patients and their families.

Engage in the orientation of new staff members positively, sharing knowledge and experiences while offering guidance as needed.

Maintain professional growth and development within the nursing field. Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited practical or vocational nursing program.

Certifications:


Current Ohio License as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA). If working in an Emergency Department, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification through AHA is required upon hire or within one year of employment.


Experience:
Preferred one year of patient care experience.

Physical Requirements:

Requires full body motion to assist and lift patients, manual dexterity with good eye-hand coordination, and involves extensive standing and walking.

Requires corrected vision and hearing within normal ranges.
Medium Work
  • Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Physical demand requirements exceed those for Light Work.

Adhere to standard precautions using personal protective equipment as necessary.
