Senior Systems Administrator

The Senior Systems Administrator will be responsible for providing both on-site and remote support for a diverse range of Stratix client organizations. With over 40 years of experience, Stratix operates in multiple sectors and is eager about future advancements. This role offers a unique chance to be part of an innovative team, gain substantial hands-on experience, and play a pivotal role in empowering our clients with the necessary technology to fulfill their business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and resolve escalated incidents identified by remote monitoring and management tools.
  • Implement significant infrastructure modifications, including but not limited to Group Policy, Microsoft 365, VMware, Hyper-V, AWS, Azure, and networking configurations.
  • Execute access rule or NAT modifications within firewall systems.
  • Lead the Incident Management team for Priority 1 and Priority 2 incidents.
  • Address end-user escalations from Level 1 and Level 2 Service Desk teams.
  • Develop or revise technical documentation to facilitate more efficient resolutions for lower-level support teams.
  • Assist with onsite incidents and implementations as necessary.
  • Participate in a weekly on-call rotation to address any Priority 1 or Priority 2 incidents outside standard business hours.
  • Manage a daily queue of incidents and requests within the Professional Services Automation system while adhering to Service Level Agreement (SLA) requirements.
  • Effectively manage time to enhance service delivery to clients and the Service Desk team.
  • Encourage professional growth by mentoring and coaching junior support staff.

Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of experience in managing and troubleshooting Microsoft Windows Server operating systems and associated services such as Active Directory, Group Policy, DHCP, DNS, Remote Access, and Exchange.
  • 2-3 years of experience in troubleshooting and/or managing Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, and Azure AD.
  • 1-2 years of experience in managing physical server infrastructure.
  • 1-2 years of experience in troubleshooting virtualization platforms, including VMware and Microsoft Hyper-V.
  • Moderate understanding of networking services and protocols, including but not limited to TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and VPNs.
  • 1-3 years of experience managing SonicWall firewalls.
  • 1-2 years of experience troubleshooting macOS devices.
  • 2-3 years of experience troubleshooting end-user hardware, including Windows 10/11 workstations, thin clients, VoIP phones, and mobile devices (iOS and Android).
  • 2-3 years of experience in managing network printing environments.
  • 2-3 years of experience in troubleshooting and/or managing email security and understanding email flow across the internet.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide detailed updates to clients regarding incidents and requests.
  • A college degree or IT trade school certification is preferred.
  • Prior experience in Managed Services is advantageous.

Additional Skills (Preferred but Not Required):

  • AZ-800 or equivalent certification.
  • 1-2 years of experience managing Datto BDR appliances.
  • 1-2 years of experience managing Cisco Umbrella (Web Security).
  • 1-2 years of experience managing Proofpoint (Email Security).
  • 1-2 years of experience managing endpoints and policies within CrowdStrike.
  • Experience with ConnectWise MSP Suite (Manage, Automate, ScreenConnect).
  • 1-2 years of experience troubleshooting or managing Line of Business applications (QuickBooks, Sage, Dynamics, etc.).
