Job Summary

The Los Rios Community College District is seeking a highly qualified Vice President of Student Services to provide leadership and direction to all Student Services programs. This key role will oversee planning and budget oversight, staff selection, and accountability for categorical programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and direction to Student Services programs, including planning and budget oversight, staff selection, and accountability for categorical programs.
  • Collaborate with institutional research, instructional leaders, and others to foster innovation through an empirically sound culture of inquiry and decision making.
  • Ensure accountability of student services categorical programs, and compliance with federal and state laws and regulations, and district and college policies and procedures.
  • Develop and manage resource assessment, planning, budgeting, and allocation processes.
  • Advocate to all constituents the community college mission, needs of all students, and student services as key to student success.
Requirements
  • Master's degree from an accredited institution completed by September 15, 2024.
  • Two years of formal training, internship, or leadership experience reasonably related to the administrator's administrative assignment.
  • Equity-minded focus, responsiveness, and sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in student services administration, including counseling, matriculation, articulation, financial aid, and student development programs.
  • Knowledge of community college policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse populations, including students, faculty, and staff.
