Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Vice President of Health Services to lead our clinical operations and ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care. The successful candidate will have a strong background in healthcare administration, with expertise in managing multiple clinical disciplines and a proven track record of improving clinical operations and patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic direction and oversight for clinic operations, ensuring alignment with the organization's mission and goals.
  • Oversee practice managers in primary care, pharmacy, and specialty care to ensure efficient and effective management of resources, staff, and patient care processes.
  • Ensure that all clinic operations meet regulatory and accreditation standards and that quality assurance programs are in place to continuously monitor and improve patient care and safety.
  • Lead initiatives aimed at improving patient satisfaction and outcomes across all practice areas, fostering a culture of patient-centered care.
  • Collaborate with the finance department to develop and manage budgets, monitor financial performance, and implement cost-control measures within the clinical operations.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize clinical workflows, enhance operational efficiency, and reduce waste while maintaining high standards of care.
  • Support the recruitment, training, and professional development of clinic staff, ensuring that teams are equipped to meet the demands of their roles and are engaged in continuous learning.
  • Contribute to the organization's strategic planning process, particularly in areas related to the expansion or enhancement of clinical services.
  • Develop, implement, and oversee safety protocols and programs that ensure a safe working environment for all clinical and administrative staff.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or a related field.
  • Expertise in healthcare operations, typically gained from 10+ years in a senior leadership role within a healthcare setting, with a focus on managing multiple clinical disciplines.
  • Strong leadership, strategic planning, and financial management skills. Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex projects.
Preferred Background
  • Experience working with diverse patient populations, particularly in community health or Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC).
  • A master's degree.
  • 7+ years of operational leadership experience in an FQHC environment.
  • Familiarity with trauma-informed care, restorative practices, and person-centered approaches.
  • Proven track record in implementing innovative solutions to improve clinical operations and patient care.
