Space Systems Evaluation Engineer

Position Overview:

SAIC is in search of a Test and Evaluation (T&E) engineer to deliver expert technical assistance to the US Space Force Space Systems Center's Space Sensing Directorate. The engineer will provide insights and support for ground system acquisition and development initiatives, ensuring adherence to industry best practices. Key responsibilities encompass the formulation of testing protocols, assessment of performance metrics, resolution of technical challenges, preparation of evaluation reports, documentation of solutions, and analysis of testing outcomes. The selected candidate will also liaise with contractors and military stakeholders, offering recommendations for T&E operations.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Formulate testing protocols and scripts
  • Assess testing performance metrics
  • Diagnose and clarify data-related issues
  • Compile summary reports of testing
  • Document technical solutions and challenges
  • Review and provide insights on testing documentation
  • Oversee testing phases to ensure compliance with standards

Additional Responsibilities:

Collaborate with various teams for integrated testing efforts

Monitor program plans and development progress

Evaluate T&E planning documentation

Track technical discrepancies

Prepare comprehensive briefings

Qualifications:

  • Must be a US Citizen with DoD TS/SCI clearance
  • Experience with Space Force/Air Force initiatives
  • Background in Acquisition and System Testing
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
  • Detail-oriented and organized

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Recent experience in Test and Evaluation
  • Experience in a SETA role

Education and Training Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree with 9+ years of relevant experience or a Master's degree with 7-9 years of relevant experience

Certifications:

  • INCOSE ASEP or CSEP Certification

Desired Technical Expertise:

Model Based Systems Engineering

Compensation Range: $120,001 - $160,000
