Systems Integration and Testing Engineer

Project Overview:

The Verification, Validation, and Transition (VV&T) team plays a crucial role in providing technical support for the planning and execution of enterprise and system-level verification, validation, and transition activities for national assets and their associated ground segments. This team ensures that all systems meet the required standards and are ready for operational deployment.

The responsibilities include supporting the closure of enterprise and system requirements, conducting independent verification and validation, overseeing readiness events, and leading project planning efforts. This role demands a comprehensive understanding of the intelligence community and a strong focus on systems engineering processes to ensure mission success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate system architecture, requirements, risks, and opportunities for VV&T impacts.
  • Define VV&T activities and produce necessary documentation such as strategies, plans, and checklists for mission capabilities.
  • Lead or assist in executing VV&T activities, including test events and milestone readiness events.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports detailing results, risk assessments, and lessons learned from VV&T activities.
  • Manage risks and track progress in collaboration with Acquisition Offices and stakeholders.
  • Facilitate technical meetings to coordinate VV&T activities and milestones.
  • Provide expert technical consultation and briefings to customers and stakeholders.

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM field.
  • Experience in Verification, Validation, and Transition (VV&T) within the relevant customer domain.
  • Strong business acumen and professional demeanor.
  • In-depth knowledge of GEOINT, SIGINT, or COMM systems and space/ground architecture.
  • Expertise in mission technical capabilities and system performance evaluation.
  • Experience in Mission Planning and Control functions related to space and ground architecture.
  • Proficient in writing test strategies, plans, and procedures.
  • Experience in executing tests, analyzing data, and summarizing outcomes.
  • Knowledge of system integration and transition processes for GEOINT, SIGINT, or COMM lifecycles.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Technical familiarity with satellite domains such as GEOINT, SIGINT, or COMM.
  • Experience with VV&T from acquisition, operations, or systems engineering perspectives.
  • Experience with Satellite Systems VV&T activities.
  • Knowledge of GEOINT, SIGINT, Space Ground Communications, and mission operations.
  • Familiarity with commercial VV&T techniques in service-oriented architecture environments is highly desirable.
  • Ability to mentor and guide junior professionals in the GEOINT, SIGINT, or COMM domains.
