Project Overview:
The Verification, Validation, and Transition (VV&T) team plays a crucial role in providing technical support for the planning and execution of enterprise and system-level verification, validation, and transition activities for national assets and associated services. This includes information processing systems within the enterprise.
The team is instrumental in ensuring the closure of enterprise and system requirements, conducting independent verification and validation, and overseeing readiness events to support various test milestones. This role demands a comprehensive understanding of the intelligence community and a strong focus on core systems engineering processes to facilitate end-to-end mission and service closure.
Key Responsibilities:
As a member of the VV&T team, you will leverage your expertise in GEOINT, SIGINT, or COMM test engineering, along with substantial knowledge of space and ground domains related to customer mission capabilities. Daily interactions with customers and contractors will be essential, adhering to established standards while driving continuous improvements and innovations. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assessing architecture, requirements, risks, and opportunities for VV&T impacts.
- Defining VV&T activities and associated products, including strategies, plans, and procedures for new and modified mission capabilities.
- Leading or supporting the execution of VV&T activities such as test events and milestone readiness events.
- Preparing comprehensive reports detailing results, risk assessments, and lessons learned from VV&T activities.
- Managing risks and ensuring closure with Acquisition Offices and stakeholders.
- Facilitating technical meetings to coordinate VV&T activities and milestones.
- Providing technical consultation and recommendations to customers and stakeholders.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM field.
- Experience in Verification, Validation, and Transition (VV&T) within the relevant customer domain.
- Strong business acumen and professional demeanor.
- In-depth knowledge of GEOINT, SIGINT, or COMM systems and overall space and ground architecture.
- Expertise in mission technical capabilities and system performance analysis.
- Experience in Mission Planning, Control, or Processing functions supporting space and ground architecture.
- Proficiency in writing test strategies, plans, and procedures.
- Experience in executing tests, analyzing data, and summarizing results.
- Familiarity with system integration and transition processes for the GEOINT, SIGINT, or COMM lifecycle.
- Commitment to understanding and operating effectively within various lines of authority.
- Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
Desired Qualifications:
- Technical familiarity with satellite domains such as GEOINT, SIGINT, or COMM.
- Experience with VV&T from acquisition, operations, or systems engineering perspectives.
- Experience with Satellite Systems VV&T activities.
- Knowledge of GEOINT, SIGINT, Space Ground Communications, and mission operations.
- Experience with commercial VV&T techniques in service-oriented architecture environments is highly desirable.
- Ability to mentor and lead junior professionals in the GEOINT, SIGINT, or COMM domains.
