We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Systems Engineer - Component Lead to join our team at Raytheon Careers. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for the component's cost, schedule, and technical performance baseline, ensuring the component products integrate together technically for each delivery.
Key Responsibilities- Component Lead: Define, document, and execute component-level Systems Engineering, Agile, and DevOps processes.
- Agile Team Leadership: Report status and estimates to Agile team leadership, utilizing robust and easy-to-use tools for reporting status.
- Team Collaboration: Work side by side with Integrated Product Team Leads and Component Leads to successfully manage the team's execution of program-specific tasks.
- Communication: Use excellent verbal and written communication skills, including negotiation skills, to communicate status, issues, and resolution plans across all major stakeholders, including Raytheon senior management, customers, and major subcontractors.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM).
- Experience: Minimum 10+ years of prior relevant experience.
- Security Clearance: Active Top Secret / SCI Security Clearance required prior to start date.
- Skills: Systems Engineering lifecycle experience, experience in Space Command & Control, Mission Management systems, and/or Ground Station systems, experience with application lifecycle management tools / platforms, and experience with the Engineering lifecycle using Agile concepts.
