About the Role

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilities Site Services: Support the operations of the facility, prioritizing safety and actively participating in Emergency Response Team (ERT) activities.
  • PMs and Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks, utilizing your skills and expertise to keep costs low and ensure efficient operations.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues to achieve business goals, supporting the fabrication process and ensuring all manufacturing metrics are met or exceeded.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • System Monitoring and Response: Monitor the operation of systems such as cooling towers, chillers, fab tool cooling water systems, pumps, boilers, air compressors, electrical, Fire Life Safety, air handlers, HVAC, solvent/acid pollution abatement, chemical distribution, and waste management, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Safe Work Practices: Utilize safe work practices, demonstrate good judgment in troubleshooting, and possess excellent communication skills, following escalation protocols.
  • Facilities System Alarms: Respond to facilities system alarms in at least one trade, demonstrating a strong understanding of facilities systems.
  • PMs and Assignments: Complete assigned PMs, applying knowledge and trade skills to complete a wide range of tasks within a specific area of responsibility.
  • Plant Rounds and Issue Resolution: Conduct plant rounds, identifying and resolving issues as observed, changing chemical drums, driving forklifts, handling wastes generated by the fab, and cleaning abatement units.
  • Modest Assignments and Recommendations: Work on moderately difficult assignments, requiring judgment in resolving issues and making recommendations for improvements.
  • Facility Service Requests and 6S: Consistently use online pass-down, respond to facility service requests, and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Emergency Response Team and Shift Coverage: Support the Emergency Response Team and be willing to work different shifts to help with coverage, practicing good time management and exhibiting strong motivation.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
  • Physical Condition: Able to stand and walk for extended periods during a 12-hour shift.
  • Essential Tasks: Maintain physical condition necessary for tasks such as lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing ladders, performing plant rounds, bending, squatting, kneeling, and associated movements common to performing maintenance on equipment.
  • Physical and Respirator Qualifications: The successful candidate will need to pass a physical and be respirator qualified.
  • Facility Technician Requirements: Occasional phone support, call-in, call back, and standby in accordance with Facility department escalation plan and HR policies.
Required Education and Experience
  • Specialized Trade Skill: A specialized trade skill related to facilities and 4-6 years of experience operating and maintaining a semiconductor or large industrial plant is required.
  • Regulatory Compliance: The ability to read and understand Safety Data Sheets (SDSs) and follow environmental and safety regulations as they pertain to designated tasks is required.
  • Chemical Handling Experience: Prior experience in chemical handling is preferred.
  • Basic Computer Skills: Must have basic computer skills such as MS Word, Excel, and e-mail.
