Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Account Manager to join our team at Elevance Health. This role will be responsible for growing and retaining existing accounts, identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling, and developing strategic business plans to address client needs.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales and business development, with experience in managing large group and national accounts. They will be able to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, brokers, and consultants, and will have excellent communication and negotiation skills.

The Strategic Account Manager will work closely with internal partners to meet and exceed client expectations, and will be responsible for driving opportunities for additional growth and product sales. They will also be expected to stay up-to-date on industry trends and developments, and to provide consultative and strategic sales knowledge to clients and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Grow and retain existing accounts through strategic business planning and execution
  • Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling, and develop plans to pursue these opportunities
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, brokers, and consultants
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to meet and exceed client expectations
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and developments, and provide consultative and strategic sales knowledge to clients and internal stakeholders
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Minimum of 6 years of sales and business development experience, with a strong background in managing large group and national accounts
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, brokers, and consultants
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
