Job Summary

The Senior Vice President of Government Relations at CommonSpirit Health is responsible for promoting the mission, vision, and values of the organization through the development and integration of a comprehensive government relations program.

This position leads all government relations efforts for CommonSpirit Health at both state and federal levels, managing a team of state advocacy leaders and serving as a key business partner to Regional Presidents.

The SVP provides education to board members, leadership, physicians, staff, and the community on the principles and goals underlying policy efforts, and represents CommonSpirit in various government and corporate forums.

Key responsibilities include developing and overseeing the implementation of the long-range strategic direction and biennial advocacy priorities, as well as accountable for state-level policy positions and overseeing implementation of individual state strategies.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of ten years of experience in a related field, with a deep understanding of legislative and regulatory policy processes, and a Master's degree in hospital, healthcare, or business administration or a related field.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Minimum of ten years of experience in a related field
  • Deep understanding of legislative and regulatory policy processes
