Job Summary

The University of Minnesota is seeking a highly skilled Business Operations Coordinator to join its team. As a key member of the Business Office, this role will play a critical part in supporting the department's financial processes and planning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate the department's financial processes, including purchase and expense processing, policy education, and compliance.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of new policies and procedures to ensure compliance with University, NCAA, and conference policies.
  • Provide training and support to department staff on financial processes and policies.
  • Coordinate with purchasing processes and manage procurement cards.
  • Review and analyze financial transactions for compliance with policies.
  • Assist with special projects and other business office responsibilities as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a related field, preferably in a Division 1 Athletics Department or University.
  • Experience with accounts payable, expense card, and reimbursement systems.
  • Knowledge of financial software and systems, including Peoplesoft.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
