Position Summary

We are seeking a highly driven Wealth Advisor to deliver outstanding financial and investment planning services to our clientele. In this client-focused position, the Wealth Advisor will manage relationships with high-net-worth clients referred to Sequoia, allowing our Originating Advisors to handle business development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and nurture a portfolio of high-net-worth client relationships.
  • Build and maintain connections with referral partners and influential contacts while thriving in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ensure client satisfaction by providing thorough wealth planning advice, including investment management, retirement, estate, and tax planning.
  • Engage in meetings with prospective clients alongside the Originating Advisor to assess their goals and needs.
  • Collaborate with Sequoia's Client Service Team to facilitate the onboarding of new clients.
  • Act as the primary liaison for client relationships, coordinating with Wealth Planning, Investment Management, and Client Service teams to ensure exceptional service delivery.
  • Conduct regular meetings with existing clients to address their financial planning and investment management requirements.
  • Utilize Salesforce to document client interactions in compliance with established procedures.
  • Prepare summary communications post-client meetings to clarify understandings and outline next steps.
  • Oversee follow-up actions, coordinating internal and external resources to meet client objectives.
  • Lead the collection of financial planning data and collaborate with the Wealth Planning Department to develop comprehensive financial plans.
  • Generate asset management reports for client distribution.
  • Respond to inquiries from clients, advisors, and team members professionally via various communication channels.
  • Supervise the preparation of meeting materials, including agendas and planning analyses.
  • Coordinate trade order execution with the Asset Management Department.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, or a related field is required.
  • CFP designation or other relevant industry credentials (CFA, CPA, JD) is preferred.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience as a Registered Investment Advisor or similar role, with at least 18 months in a RIA capacity.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of financial planning components, including cash management, tax planning, insurance, retirement, estate planning, and risk management.
  • Proficient in financial planning software and deliverables.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and Client Relationship Management systems like Salesforce.
  • Spanish language proficiency is a plus.
