Job Summary

Region V Services is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Support Professional to join our team. As a Support Professional, you will play a vital role in providing training and support to individuals with disabilities in their homes and community locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement personalized training programs to enhance the individual's competencies and help them achieve their goals.
  • Provide support and guidance to individuals with disabilities, promoting their independence and self-advocacy skills.
  • Collaborate with the individual, their family, and other team members to identify and develop strategies to meet their needs and desired outcomes.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs, making adjustments as needed to ensure optimal results.
  • Work cooperatively with consultants, supervisors, and other agency staff to ensure seamless support and services.
  • Ensure a safe and healthy environment for individuals, adhering to federal, state, and local regulations and guidelines.
  • Provide transportation and support to individuals as needed, promoting their community access skills and social integration.
  • Assist individuals in managing their personal funds and adhering to Region V Services procedures.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training conferences, and other developmental sessions to enhance job performance and stay up-to-date on industry best practices.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent knowledge.
  • Prefer one year of experience in the field of human services.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license or other reliable means of transportation.
  • Ability to pass a criminal history background check and other required screenings.
