Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring quality assurance across various domains, including:

  • Multimodal traffic management and microsimulation
  • Infrastructure capacity evaluations
  • Freeway and managed lane operations
  • Arterial and public transit operations
  • Pedestrian simulation analysis
  • Roundabout operational assessments
  • Traffic calming strategies
  • Project development for state transportation
  • Traffic signal optimization
  • Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), encompassing field devices and communication frameworks
  • Intersection and lane configuration assessments
  • Preparation and review of traffic and project documentation
  • Utilization of software tools such as Synchro/SimTraffic, Sidra, HCS, Vistro, Vissim, Visum, TransModeler, among others for precise computations
  • Depending on experience, project management, delegation, supervision of tasks, client relationship building, and contribution to marketing efforts
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in transportation, civil engineering, data science, electrical engineering, urban planning, or a related discipline
  • 4 to 8 years of relevant experience in transportation planning and/or engineering
  • Strong technical writing, verbal communication, and presentation capabilities
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with a proven ability to collaborate effectively with clients
  • Robust task and project management abilities
  • A knack for business development
  • Professional Engineer (PE), Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE), and/or Traffic Engineer (TE) certification is advantageous
