Position Overview:
The Community Outreach Coordinator plays a crucial role in bridging the gap between Prestige Healthcare Resources, Inc. (PHRI) and the local community, fostering engagement and enhancing awareness of mental health services. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to mental health advocacy, exceptional communication abilities, and a talent for cultivating meaningful community relationships.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and execute outreach initiatives aimed at boosting awareness and access to mental health services.
  • Plan and engage in community activities, workshops, and informational sessions.
  • Collaborate with local entities, educational institutions, and healthcare organizations to promote mental health resources.
  • Interact with consumers and prospective clients through various communication channels, offering information and support.
  • Assess and report on the success of outreach efforts.
  • Assist in creating educational materials and content for social media platforms.
  • Provide valuable feedback to enhance services based on community feedback.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma is mandatory; an associate degree or higher is preferred.
  • Experience in community outreach and engagement is essential.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management capabilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects effectively.
  • Capacity to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Familiarity with mental health issues and resources is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in social media and digital communication tools.
  • Competence in Microsoft Office; experience with electronic medical record systems is a plus.

Work Environment:
  • Position is based in the Washington, DC area.
