Position SummaryDexis has been selected by the USAID Bureau for Conflict Prevention and Stabilization (CPS) to deliver institutional staffing assistance. The CPS Program Office is seeking a mid-level Outreach and Communications Coordinator to bolster the Bureau's initiatives, particularly in relation to the U.S. Strategy to Prevent Conflict and Promote Stability (SPCPS) and the Global Fragility Act (GFA).
This full-time role is based in the Washington, D.C. area, with an expectation of in-office presence at least three days a week, subject to evolving requirements.
The position necessitates the ability to secure an active SECRET clearance.
Key ResponsibilitiesOutreach and Communications
- Oversee and manage specific informational products associated with the Global Fragility Act and SPCPS, including but not limited to: updates for internal and external websites, fact sheets, presentations, and stakeholder reports, as well as briefings, talking points, speeches, and media content.
- Lead the compilation of a comprehensive biennial report to Congress on the GFA, providing support for any additional reporting as necessary.
- Assist in the strategic implementation of the GFA partnership plan by conceiving, organizing, and preparing materials for meetings, events, conferences, and presentations to various stakeholders.
- Establish and maintain relationships with communications professionals across USAID and the interagency involved with GFA countries and regions. Manage content for CPS and other internal and external websites and Google Drive to ensure accurate and updated information products.
- Contribute to the CPS social media strategy, including drafting posts and maintaining an editorial calendar.
- Facilitate communications and manage information requests from CPS and other Bureau offices.
- Support GFA strategic communications efforts, including the coordination of internal and external events and speaking engagements with stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with USAID branding and marking guidelines among staff and implementing partners.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of records related to communication and outreach initiatives.
- Act as a resource for CPS and other staff regarding GFA communications guidance and information requests.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain a SECRET clearance.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a relevant discipline.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a professional setting.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Google Workplace applications.
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and judgment skills are essential.
- Proven ability to work independently on projects requiring research and preparation.
- Experience in supporting communication needs in dynamic environments, particularly in peace, fragility, or stabilization contexts.
- Background in communications within the U.S. Government, non-governmental organizations, or the implementing partner community.
- Highly organized with attention to detail and the ability to manage large projects effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrating the ability to collaborate across various offices and develop effective working relationships.
- Exceptional written, oral, organizational, facilitation, and presentation skills.
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, video editing software, newsletter writing, and website management is advantageous.
- Experience in graphic design and multimedia storytelling is a plus.
